Water birth has been shown to decrease pain in labor, decrease the chance of tearing, and make the transition from womb to world easier on the newborn. Included at no extra charge in the midwifery package is the use of a portable birth tub and one disposable liner, also included is draining and removing the birth tub after your birth. You have the option to birth in your own tub or you can choose an ECO Birth Pool in a Box or an AquaDoula birth tub. Many mothers find YouTube to be helpful in learning which is right for them.
